If it wasn’t for an unhealthy problem with authority, Creative Director Isaiah King would never have begun studying design. An angsty youth + fine arts training + Adbusters magazine + a love of propaganda art all pointed to a future in the communication arts.
Provocation as a business model?
Yes it’s a dream job! International brands and organizations actually pay us to poke, provoke and annoy. Folks like Greenpeace, MoveOn, Color of Change, Consumer Reports, IFAW and others come to us for our particular brand of swagger.
Well that sh*t didn’t work
You win some, you lose some. We lost this one big time. In 2016 we partnered with political action juggernaut MoveOn.org to inspire, provoke and mobilize. You know the rest.
